About Us

About Me

My name is Mika Dalbec, but my friends call me Haji. I am the product of three things: childhood trauma, foster care & crime. I spent the first 14 years of my life being shuffled through 36 foster homes, the next 4 years of my life as homeless and a highschool dropout, and the last 10 years in prison. I was a hurt person who hurt people, and I make no excuses for it. Coming to prison I had a choice to make, it was either I be the same person, or, I change. And I chose to change. First things first, I had to deal with how I was hurt. Then, I had to come to accept and understand why I hurt other people. Now, I’m in the process of living a life through restoration, and by example, personifying what it means to heal, as a journey.

Thank you for reading my book. Email me for questions and inquiries. I hide nothing, I’m honest about everything, and, in order to be successful in life… you don’t have to do anything, but you have to do something.

A homeless, abused, highschool dropout, incarcerated, demonized, bottom of the human melting pot,… man.

And I will still outwork you.
